Exclusively Housewares Show 2014

Three members of our Dentons team went to the Exclusively Housewares show last month at the Business Design Centre in Islington.

We saw some great new products and are pleased to be stocking our favourites:

Pyrex Baking Sheet - 32cm x 26cm

Strawberry Stem-Remover

Wimbledon would not be Wimbledon without strawberries and cream! Newly added to our website is the Chef'n Strawberry Stem-Remover. We have been testing it in the office today and can confirm it really works! Although maybe we should buy another punnet of strawberries just to make sure ;-)

iSi 1 Litre cream whipper

10.5oz Flamengo Coupe Cup

Make your own fresh whipped cream with the iSi cream whipper, add a little vanilla syrup (or any other flavour you fancy) to make a really tasty treat. Pop your freshly hulled strawberries in the Flamengo Coupe Cup, squirt an unhealthy amount of fresh whipped cream on top and Voilà! Perfect tennis watching treat!

We spotted these incredible Pimms Pops drinks this week on twitter. A collaboration between Pure Pops and Pimms at Bondi Beach's Bucket List. If Australia is a little too far to find one of these how about creating your own?

Our favourite items this week are all things..... Falcon Enamelware

You cannot mistake Falcon Enamelware with it's classic white body and distinctive blue rim. From it's creation in the 1920's Falcon Enamelware and has always been a part of British home life, and it seems today it is as popular as ever with many items popping up in restaurants all over the UK. 

While treating ourselves to an Honest Burger last weekend we spotted the blue rim peeking out from underneath our juicy burger and home made rosemary chips.

And it's no wonder Falcon Enamelware is so popular, porcelain fused with heavy-gauge steel means it won't break if dropped, can be used on gas and electric hobs and is dishwasher and oven safe up to 530ºF / 270ºC.

We have also noticed our cocktails are no longer being served in tall elegant glasses but in these fun enamel mugs instead, full of crushed ice, mint sprigs and big chunky straws. If cocktails aren't your thing, how about serving your sweet potato fries in a mug instead?!

Our glass drinks dispensers have been selling like hot cakes this week! Especially the Kilner clip top drinks dispensers, which have been flying out quicker than we can get them in!

It seems everyone can't wait to get their hands on a vintage style glass drinks dispenser. 

With their easy pour taps all of our glass dispensers are perfect for summer picnics, parties and barbecues. 

Ideal for home made lemonade, summer punches, fruit squashes and many other still drinks.

Very similar to the very popular Kilner dispenser. The clip top lid prevents spillages, while the wide neck makes it easy to fill the dispenser with liquid, ice and fruit.

We think these vintage serving jars would look fantastic at a vintage party or wedding. 

They could also be used with colourful fruit cordials to create a sweet shop style feel to a children's party. (Or an alcohol alternative can be used for the big kids amongst us ;-) )

Wow all this talk has made us thirsty!! Time for a delicious home made lemonade and a slice of Victoria sponge I think!

This week we have been adding a whole range of new ice cream sundae dishes, knickerbocker glory glasses, sorbet dishes and milkshake glasses to our website. 

When summer arrives we will be ready for it!! 

Our added lines have also inspired us to create our new Pinterest board, "I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice Cream!" with recipes and ideas for ice cream, sorbets, home made ice lollies and milkshakes.
